I accept scoured forums and watched video to try and solve my problem but I have ultimately failed. I'thousand trying to turn my Netgear WNR2000v3 into a Wi Fi range extender. My equipment is: Primary AP Netgear C3000 Standard Netgear Firmware (Updates Automatically) Secondary AP Netgear WNR2000v3 Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/nineteen/12) std - build 18777 These are the steps that I take that I have constitute in videos and forum step-past-steps. 1. 30-thirty-30 reset (i've done with normal resets likewise and yielded the same results) 2. Setup -> Basic Setup -> WAN Connexion Type -> Disabled iii. Setup -> Basic Setup -> Router IP -> 192.168.0.2 (Main AP is 192.168.0.1) 4. Security -> Firewall -> Block WAN Request -> Uncheck All 5. Security -> Firewall -> Firewall Protection -> Disable half-dozen. Wireless -> Basic Settings -> Physical Interface ath0 Wireless Manner: Customer Bridge (Routed) Default GW Mode: Automobile Wireless Network Mode: Mixed Aqueduct Width: Full (20MHz) 7. Wireless -> Wireless Security -> Insert Priimary AP Credentials -- Once I "Save" and "Utilize" at this indicate, I can reset my Ethernet Connection and Scan the Cyberspace through the Ethernet cable continued to the WNR2000v3. -- 8. Wireless -> Bones Setting -> Virtual Interfaces -> Add Wireless Fashion: AP SSID: Secondary Wireless SSID Broadcast: Enable -- In one case I apply this setting (whether I add security or not) the new wireless network appears and I can connect to information technology, but I lose internet connectivity from the Ethernet String and the Wifi connectedness has no internet connectivity. Sometimes I am not even able to connect to the modem interface anymore. -- **The steps mentioned above are the only setting I modify from manufactory defaults throughout the procedure.** After repeating this procedure several times I decided to attempt to update to a different version of dd-wrt. I did a 30-xxx-thirty reset and downloaded "wnr2000v3-webflash.bin" from the near recent binder and after 5 seconds the upgrade failed. I and then tried to upgrade to the netgear "wnr2000v3-V1.0.ane.26" and achieved the same results. Now I'yard here. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I apologize if I take already overlooked my answers. Thank You

Client Bridge (routed) is not a very good option if yous have more than one ~ 2 clients connected to it ... however it should work best using build r29837 'bout all I know

The upgrade actually completed. Withal, after completing pace 7 with the new firmware, I could non access the internet as I could before through the ethernet cable. There was some kind of DNS server issue. I went ahead and put the router in client mode and added a virtual interface. After I applied the settings, the wifi network appeared equally it has in the by and once again it had no internet connectivity. Now I cannot connect back to the DD-wrt user interface and I have tried 30-xxx-xxx reset twice and the router does non reset. It powers upwards and then the wifi light icon simply blinks endlessly. I have no idea what to do now.

The wifi network I created is notwithstanding at that place, and I am yet able to connect to information technology, merely there is no internet activity and i cannot access the dd-wrt interface using the assigned IP. Enable information technology Relieve & apply settings.... very likely you will lose connection to information technology -- don't worry, just ability information technology off for a bit then reconnect and configure it how ever you demand to ------------ don't reset it once more!!!
